I dont know about yall, but I had a good time and it was great to see everyone. Everyone looked great. I hope that we all can keep in touch for the next 5 years or so until we have another get together. Maybe we can find the rest of our classmates that we could not locate this time and get them to the next one. Take care and God bless. ---Cristi---

Thanks Cristi, it was great to see you and your family. For ya'll that were able to make it to our reunion, thanks. I hope it was all you expected and more. I think our class has aged well. It was so great seeing everyone with their families at the daytime event and then what a blast cutting loose with everyone at the evening event. A special thanks to all of the organizers. Ken called me today and said they were finalizing the details on our expenses. Ken Carter and David Smith deserve a huge thanks for their detailed work with the slide shows, money going out and coming in, music and too much to name. Thanks guys it was so great. Bobby, Julie, Dana, and Shonda worked very hard with everything. Putting a reunion together in 4 months is no easy task. Last but not least give Melanie a round of applause for her creative talents in decorating and food preparations. The tables at the evening event were beautiful. I for sure don't want to leave out the people that called and e-mailed me with contact information. I have said this from the beginning and will say it again. This whole reunion process has been a group effort from the entire class of 1987. Pat yourselves on the back and know that all you did was helpful and appreciated. Don't forget about our tailgate party on October 19th. We will try to keep you posted with details as the event gets closer. Thanks again to everyone.......it was BLAST!!!! I love you all and God Bless.

I was so happy to see so many near and dear friends; my only regret was the we couldn't make it to the evening event. I can't effectively express my gratitude to all those mentioned above, as well as, those who might have accidentally been missed for your efforts in making the reunion a "fun" and "classy" event. I would expect no less from the Class of '87.Everyone looked so darn good, and I was so happy to finally meet some of the family members that I had not met before. Bottom line, thank you for a great time and great memories. In addition, I hope we can all stay in touch and not let time nor miles pull us apart. It was an absolute pleasure. Thank you again to all for making it a wonderful life experience. |

Ditto to all the comments before me!! We had such a great time reuniting with old friends at both events. I do regret that we missed some at the evening event!! It was truly a blast!! I agree with several comments I heard throughout the day and in this discussion on how our class looks incredible!! I was thrilled to meet the families and spend time catching up with friends. Bobby, you did a fantastic job leading us throughout the day. You made us all feel like we were home!! Thanks to Ken, Julie, Shawntel, Melanie, Dave, Shonda and Keith and Dana. You all put so much time and effort into this event in such a short time!!! The end result was spectacular! You made it a special memory for all of us!!! I also hope we can all keep in touch. I hope to be able to make it to the game on the 19th. Take care!

I'd like to thank all of the people that provided the decorations, deserts, memorabilia and their time to help setup and clean up. I was a bit tense the week before we got there, but I know now that our class is packed with dependable, responsible, giving and wonderful people. I can't express my gratitude for everyone that made this thing happen. The organizers pulled off a wonderful job of pulling this together. I hope that all of those were unable to attend will provide their information to me via e-mail (dave@load.com) so that we can keep up with you.
I'm sorry that I didn't get to see 100% of you at the evening event, but I do want to say that I could not have been more satisfied with catching up with the one's of you that I sat with. I will be pulling together the pictures and video's that I captured along with a few others that were provided to me. If you have any pictures / video footage, please feel free to contact me and we'll figure out a way to get it included. In a month or two, I'll take everything that I've received and start working on combining it into a memory book and DVD for our 20th reunion. I'm going to try to put some of my stuff together and post it to YouTube for some of the video that I captured. I'll post the information on this board and send a mass e-mailing to everyone when it's completed with information on how to obtain it. I will also be duplicating the slide shows and video footage that was shown at the evening event. We're going to figure out how to get all of the things together so that everyone that wants a copy can get one. I will be making the Memory book available in a PDF format that people can download from this site. (if they provide us with that much space) Again, I would like to thank everyone that attended and put all of the hard work, money, head-aches, sore backs, hang-overs and planning into our 20th reunion. You all deserve a great big THANK YOU!!! Sincerely, David Smith CHS Class of 1987 Oak Park, IL dave@load.com |

I would also like to thank everyone that worked so hard on making our reunion possible and special. Bobby, Ken, David, Julie, Melanie, Shawntel and Shonda I appreciate all of your hard work. Ken- thanks for providing our special guest too! Aaron and Kathleen (i think i got that right) thank you for getting me out of a jam and for all your help with the lunch and clean up. Thanks to all that set up Friday (sorry i missed it) and all that helped clean up Saturday night so late. Thank you to all that helped spread the word and provide addresses. We are still missing some so please keep spreading the word about our website so we can get more to our next get together. To the spouses of the Class of 87 - THANK YOU for helping and putting up with us - it was good to meet you and we are really glad you were there. Keith and I had a great time and we are looking forward to the next get together. -dana

Same here. It was so great to see everyone that i haven't seen in 20 years. I would also like to send out a very sincere apology to anyone that i may have offended Saturday evening. I got a little carried away but i would like to thank Rodney and Wendy for keeping me semi straight. But i did have a very good time and i hope that we can all keep in touch over the next 20 years. If anyone would like, I have included my cell phone number below. i also know where i can reach people that i didn't know still lived around here. I guess that was another thing that i found amazing. There are still alot of people who live within an hour or so of Carthage. Everyone have a great day and remember, if you run in to someone let them know about the website. Everyone take care
sincerely, Stacy Mathis cell 936-556-0380 oh by the way thanks for the huge head shot Wendy. lol lol |

Ditto to everything that has already been said. Those of you who put this thing together, just did an awesome job! Shawntel, you did great contacting so many people and making so many phone calls. I know I was supposed to help and failed you on that one. Sorry. You know how complicated my life is. And I know alot of people's are, so that is a poor excuse. But my life is riduculous. Everytime I turn around, some kinda shit always hits me in the face. Anyways, I could've never pulled together what ya'll did. Bobby, you jumped right in there, when Shawntel called you. As did, Dana and Ken and Dave. It would've been so easy for you to blow us off, Dave, living in Chicago. But you did so much and still are doing so much! Incredible! The pictures and video that you are planning on putting together is going to be phenominal! And Ken, your access in getting things and people(Machine Gun Dave). That was great. The dance and the music was great!! You put it all together so well. Lots of fun! P.S. Thank you for protecting me!! And all of us!! Glad everything went smoothly. And lastly, those of you who did not come. You really missed out. I didn't know what to expect. But it was incredible. I had so much fun! And everybody was so nice and friendly. Everybody just wanted to have a good time and that we all did!!!! Some more than others. But hey, that's what makes us such a fun class!!!
